This week I decided to take off from work and give myself a little stay-cation at home. Juggling my part-time job along with preparing for my next film, amongst other daily norms, has left me feeling stretched and worn out. I've fallen behind on blogging, apologies, and have just been extremely exhausted lately.
Thankfully, after about 12 hours of straight sleep, I feel refreshed and can start to see my creativity coming back. One of my favorite things to do to unwind is to take extra time for myself in normal things. I love going all out and making myself a delicious meal or just running around the house taking pictures of me and my dog. Taking time for me and doing things that I find therapeutic are what keep me sane and healthy. Being introverted, for the most part, being around people can quickly drain me. I really need those moments where I take time to be selfish and center myself so that I can handle whatever it is I have to do next. I have an unofficial checklist of things I would love to get done over the next several days. Including but not limited to: taking a long hot bath, building a fire and camping outside, having breakfast for dinner, and of course catching up on some much needed blogging.
Best, Dillan Moore
