I'm very fortunate to have 'young at heart' parents that genuinely enjoy doing new and exciting things. Hiking is something we have all come to really enjoy and try to do a fair bit. Recently, we came up with the crazy idea to do a 3 day hike on the Appalachian Trail in May. So for the past several weeks, we have been doing a ton of research and getting supplies for our trip. This past weekend we decided to meet up and do a little bit of training to make sure we are ready in May. We cameled up and did a 6 mile hike up Kennesaw Mountain complete with all of our gear. We had an absolute blast. The trek was full of bits of history, close encounters with nature, and amazing views. We laughed and laughed. If you have ever been backpacking you will understand it brings a whole new meaning the the term "leg day". Needless to say we spent the majority of the next day sleeping in a chilling out.
